Muraka has some of the best fiction on women and asexuality. Earthlings and Convenience Store Woman as well. I think she does it blunt and fascinating job of representing the type of social masking performed by asexual women. It intersect with neurodiversity, I think, but I would definitely describe this masking as something unique.

Thank you! I've ordered Portalmania from my local bookshop, and Debbie Urbanski's list of other ace reads is a treasure trove!

As an occasional fiction writer myself, I've struggled to represent asexuality in a real-world, non-science-fictiony context, as more than a mere absence. I'm looking forward to reading some good examples of how it's done.

The comic book Sex Criminals (not really what it sounds like) has an issue focusing on an Ace character.
